The difference between iPad Mini 3 and Mini 2 Touch Screen Digitizer

Recently, Some customers ask us if the iPad Mini 3 and Mini 2 Touch Screen Digitizer are compatible, because they want to repair the broken screens for their clients. Today, we would like to tell you the answer - they are not compatible.

If they are not the same, then what is the difference between iPad Mini 3 and Mini 2 Touch Screen Digitizer ? There are 2 aspects are different.

The Home Button Hold is Different
The iPad mini 2 has a smaller home button hold, the iPad Mini 3 home button hole is larger a little.

The Home Button Fingerprint Sensor and Home Flex Cable is different
iPad Mini 2 does not have fingerprint sensor, while iPad mini 3 has the sensor. And the iPad Mini 2 home button flex cable need to be soldered, while iPad mini 3 just needn't.
